Hi there, I've worked in advertising as a Creative Director since before Kim Kardashian broke the internet, as a Copywriter since before the Y2K bug wreaked havoc on humanity, and as an Art Director since before scientists cloned Dolly the sheep.
In 2016, I was the 16th most awarded copywriter in the world (and the highest ranked in Australia) which made my kids very proud indeed. Well, they said they were. I'm still not sure they were telling the truth- which proves they really are the children of an ad guy.
In my career I've created a wide array of stuff for the AFL, launched the Big Bash League for Cricket Australia, re-thought what the University of Melbourne stands for, electrocuted people’s faces for the Melbourne International Film Festival (no, really!), created the global Wrigley’s Extra “Food Creatures”, made a pub with no beer for Schweppes, and launched the first ever truly funny Christmas Crackers for Camp Quality with jokes written by comedians.
I've worked across both Melbourne and Sydney, at agencies such as Y&R Melbourne, McCann Worldwide, cummins &partners, DDB Sydney, and Y&R Sydney amongst others. At each stop I have collected awards (120+ and counting/not counting), and learnt a lot of good stuff from a lot of very talented people. I've also learnt a lot of very bad stuff from very talented people. Now, I just put the good stuff into practice.
I don't just make ads though. I'm interested in doing some good in the world. That's why I've made a range of charity campaigns which have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I also just like to make stuff that's a bit different.
And I've made a HEAP of sports stuff. I love sport. It plays with your emotions in a way no movie ever can.
Anyway, have a wander around my website. And if there's any stuff you want to talk about, get in contact, drop me a line, or send highly intricate coded messages through the medium of interpretative dance at email@example.com. Yes, I still use Yahoo. For the LOLs.
