BE ABSOLUTELY INDISPENSABLE

Alex Wadelton delivers corporate training workshops focused on ideas, creative thinking and becoming Absolutely Indispensable in the age of AI. Learn how to strengthen human judgement, originality and problem solving while others rely on automation. Build skills that drive business impact, leadership value and career growth through bold thinking and creativity.

“Will AI replace me?”

It feels like that’s what everyone’s talking about. Some people think it will take everyone’s jobs. Others think it will make us superhuman. Most people seem to be somewhere in the middle, trying to work out what the hell it all means, and how to stay ahead of the somewhat terrifying curve.

It truly is one of the most incredible moments in human history.

For the first time ever, we have machines that can write things, design things, analyse things, summarise things and generate ideas at a speed that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

It’s an extraordinary tool. But it’s also created a slightly worrying new habit, which ironically, creates a massive opportunity for those who plan for it.

Whenever something gets difficult, people ask the computer.

Need an idea? Ask the computer.
Need an answer? Ask the computer.
Need to solve a tricky problem? Ask the computer.

And while that is incredibly convenient, it does raise an interesting question:
What happens to our own brains if we stop using them on the hard things?

The human brain is one of the most remarkable things in the known universe. It has allowed us to build cities, invent aeroplanes, write symphonies, split the atom, create cinema, design sports, cook extraordinary food and come up with the frankly insane (but awesome) idea of pineapple on pizza.

Every idea or business that changed the world began in a human brain, like yours.

Not a machine. A human brain. And the people who tend to rise to the top of organisations and industries are usually the ones who use that brain particularly well.

Because they think of original ideas. They zig when everyone else zags. They make judgement calls when there isn’t a clear answer.

Those sorts of decisions have never really been about processing information. They have always been about thinking and going in a slightly different direction to the crowd. If everyone is using the same AI platforms, however, all the answers will eventually be the same. Which leaves those who haven’t developed their skill for original thinking in a very sticky situation indeed.

BE ABSOLUTELY INDISPENSABLE //

AI is like the greatest cover band of all time.

It takes everything that has come before and instantly remixes it into something perfectly familiar.

If you perform in a cover band you might be able to eke out a comfortable living for a time. You can perfect your instrument, and hit every note just right, but you’ll never be in demand, you’ll never stand out, and you’ll never be Absolutely Indispensable.

Ask yourself this: would you pay more to see your favourite band live at an arena, or watch a cover band at your local pub?

AI is making your work look like everyone else’s.

The more your team rely on the same tools as everyone else, the more those ideas start to feel familiar. Not bad, just predictable, safe, and interchangeable.

At the same time, trust is dropping in what’s being made.

One study found that when people even suspect content is AI-generated, trust can fall by nearly 50%.

Which creates a MAMMOTH problem. Because while AI can help you produce more, it can’t give you a point of view. And without that, you don’t stand out… you blend in.

Original thinking is the most important skill for the future.

People like you who think BEFORE they turn to AI, are the ones who will lead us all forward. Because you’ll create things that cut through. Ideas that help you, your business and your organisation actually matter.

Your brain and your experiences combined with your unique perspective create ways of thinking that no AI can produce.

After you have used your brain, then you can use AI to streamline all the boring things that bog down performance. The repetition, the grunt work, and the menial tasks get done by the computer while you and your team have more time and energy for solving the real problems.

But how do you unlock this super advantage? That’s where I come in.

Help you and your team become Absolutely Indispensable.

Absolutely Indispensable is a 2-hour session built for teams that are worried that they’re starting to look and think like everyone else.

Right now, AI is making it easier to produce more work, faster. But it’s also flattening originality, lowering standards, and quietly disengaging the very people you rely on to drive growth. This session cuts through that.

It shows teams how to think beyond prompts, back stronger ideas, and make decisions that actually move the business forward. Not just more content, but work that stands out and performs.

Trusted by some of the biggest brands in the world.

I’ve created work, delivered workshops, and helped teams build ideas that actually matter. Work that drives business results, lifts engagement, and earns attention beyond the brief.

Now it’s your turn.

If your team is starting to drift into dull, short-term thinking, this will reset it. Get them engaged. Get them thinking. Get them producing work that stands out and moves things forward. Become Absolutely Indispensable.
